# Symbolic.ai offers free access to journalists out of work

**SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 15, 2026)** – Symbolic.ai Inc. announced today that journalists whose editorial jobs or regular contracts have ended involuntarily can apply for six months of free access to its AI-assisted workflow platform.

The Symbolic Journalist Support Program is open to reporters, editors, producers and other editorial journalists affected by layoffs, eliminated positions, buyouts or contract nonrenewals.

Participants can use Symbolic to analyze documents and transcripts, find and organize research, draft and edit material, and fact-check claims against supporting sources. Optional introductory training will be available to journalists who want it.

## Who can apply?

This offer is for people with professional editorial journalism experience whose recent staff role or regular journalism contract ended involuntarily. Reporters, editors, producers, and other editorial journalists are welcome to apply. Layoffs, eliminated roles, buyouts and contract nonrenewals qualify.

You do not need a byline. If your work is not publicly credited, you can briefly describe it in the application. We won’t ask for a layoff notice or contact your former employer.
