Virtual Editor; Team Access Control and More

Happy New Year. We hope you had a good holiday season and are back in the swing of things.

2025 is going to be a very exciting year for AI innovation, and Symbolic has an ambitious roadmap to bring the best to our professional publishing and communications customers. Symbolic Virtual Editor; Critique and Writing Suggestions

Symbolic introduced a new word processing suite late last year. Now that capability includes a virtual Symbolic Editor, which can provide advice and guidance on your article. The first two Editor capabilities are Critique and Writing Suggestions. Critique focuses on the assertions and arguments within your draft. It challenges your thesis and allows you to test the strength of your assertions before publication. Critique is a great way to get a view on how outside readers might view a published work. Writing Suggestions, on the other hand, are focused on suggestions for how to improve a drafts' structure, organization and flow. Writing Suggestions are a level above spelling and grammar, and are more concentrated on how to structure the article and what to focus on for maximum impact. Team Level Access Control of Projects

Projects can now be permissioned at the Team level. When any project is created, it can be made private, it can be shared with an entire Organization, or it can be shared only with a Team within an Organization. This allows specific groups within an enterprise to work on private or sensitive material and limit the availability to only the people that must have access.

More improvements you'll find in Symbolic:

Download any Project. Export (within the Publish section) now contains the one button ability to download your drafts. Just go to the export tab, where you will find it on the top of the menu.

Typography Improvements. The draft editor now supports common typographic character shortcuts including -- for —, (c) for ©, (r) for ®, (tm) for ™, and automatic smart quotes.
